About Spokes Spokes exists to serve cyclists in the South West Herts area.  Our main objective is to further the cause of cycling in this area.  Join us, join in and help.  We are independent and non political and fund ourselves through members’ subscriptions.

Our objectives are: 

  • To campaign for better conditions for cyclists in SW Herts 

  • To encourage more people to enjoy cycling 

  • To organise a programme of cycle rides to provide for all tastes 

  • To publish a quarterly newsletter free to members 

We have representatives sitting on local cycle forums.  We make ourselves available for consultation by agencies planning cycle routes in the area.  We are affiliated to the Cyclists’ Touring Club and to the Cycle Campaign Network. 

We have negotiated members’ discounts of 10% at local cycle shops.

The subscription is £8 a year with other family members included for an additional £1 each.
