Spokes members really braved the elements on a ride around Aldenham and Elstree area. We encountered heavy rain, flooded roads, muddy footpaths, and Andrew, ride leader, suffered a puncture on the return journey. Due to the wild weather, he couldn't face changing the inner tube and walked the rest of the way home.
We stopped at Elstree Aerodrome for a warming mug of Bovril and to watch the planes. Sadly, due to the conditions, no planes were taking off, but the muffins were excellent!
