Saturday 14th February -  North West Triangle

Another chilly day and Roger took us on an exploration of Leavesden Park, where Three Rivers are considering making a cycle route.  We cycled from Watford Met to Gypsy Lane then to Leavesden Park, which has extensive woods and good potential for cyclists. It will be possible to continue to Bedmond by cycling through the park to East Lane, an old lane that goes from Garston to Bedmond via a tunnel under the M25 with no vehicle access.

Looking towards Chandlers Cross from the top of Gypsy Lane just before it crosses the railway.

We've crossed Leavesden Park and arrived at East Lane, which is overgrown and very wet and muddy underfoot.

East Lane took us to Bedmond and then we went on lanes towards St Albans.

Spring still isn't here. Frozen snow still covered the cycle path which crosses the edge of St Albans near the M10 and then descends to the A404 and How Wood.
